Day 1: Pick up and Travel up to Amboseli

Have a delicious breakfast, and after, meet your Kenya safari expert for pick up and transfer to Amboseli National Park. Travel to Amboseli takes about 4-5 hours, and you will access the Park using a 4x4 safari vehicle. Amboseli features unique attractions and is a favorite destination for most wildlife adventure seekers.

Amboseli offers amazing wildlife encounters ranging from the huge herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, cheetahs, impalas, zebras, waterbucks, giraffes, and 400 bird species. At Amboseli, expect to also experience the breathtaking views of the Kilimanjaro Mountains. Upon arrival at Amboseli, expect a warm welcome from the hospitable safari lodges/camp staff and later check in.

Day 2: Experience a Full Day Amboseli Game Drive

The itinerary includes a fully day guided game drive through Amboseli National Park. This includes a morning and afternoon game viewing tour. The notable wildlife encounters on today’s game drive include cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, buffaloes, lions, and bird species.

Amboseli also provides shelter to diverse species of birds, including long-toed lapwing, African jacana, white-headed buffalo weaver, Egyptian goose, ostriches, African swamphen, steel-blue whydah, water thick-knee, pangani long-claw, and more.

After the morning game drive, you will have a picnic lunch under one of the tree shades. In the afternoon, your game viewing session will resume, and this time around to explore more wildlife. Later, you will return to the safari lodge to relax and have an overnight stay.

Getting to Lake Nakuru from Amboseli takes between 6 and 7 hours.
