Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and pick up at the airport

Meet and greet with Alba Wonders Africa tour guide, and after, you will transfer to a booked hotel in Entebbe, about 10 10-minute drive. Check in time and have a long evening relaxation in your finest hotel.

Day 2: Visit Ziwa and Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you will have a short briefing introducing you to the itinerary. Later, board a 4x4 safari vehicle and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, accessing it on the Kampala-Gulu Highway. En route, there will be a chance to branch off to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos. Spend about 2 hours just exploring the rhinos and other wildlife plus birds. From Ziwa, head out to Masindi to enjoy lunch. Have some refreshments and relaxation, then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park to visit the waterfalls –observe this natural wonder as it forces itself in a narrow rock measuring about 7-8m.

Day 3: Game drives and Boat cruise

Embark on a journey to enjoy a 2-3-hour guided game drive. Today, be set for a wildlife expedition in the Northern circuit and expect to encounter different wildlife. The list of animals to find in Murchison includes Uganda Kobs, buffalo, oribis, hartebeests, giraffes, waterbucks, bushbucks, lions, leopards, and multiple birds. After an exclusive game viewing experience in the Northern circuit, you will settle for a leisurely lunch in the camp/lodge.

Continue with your day programme, and the afternoon session includes a guided boat cruise excursion. The boat cruise will be enjoyed along the Victoria Nile for 2-3 hours and comes with amazing views of the mostly the aquatic species, including hippos, crocodiles, and birds.

Day 4: Primate Safari to Kibale

After the early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by an Alba Wonders Africa guide. Start driving to Fort Portal, navigating via Hoima City, and lunch will be had en route. Get an incredible welcome to cool Fort Portal and access Kibale via the Kamwenge route.

Day 5: Embark on a Chimpanzee trek and visit Bigodi

Kibale offers one of the best chimpanzee trekking adventures, and as the leading destinations, it features 4 habituated chimpanzee communities. Today’s morning chimpanzee tracking session starts at around 8:00 after the briefing. You will spend between 2 and 4 hours in the Kibale Forest, but this covers an hour for up close with a troop of chimpanzees. Kibale is a vibrant primate destination and you won’t run out of what to see besides chimpanzees.

Kibale National Park protects additional 12 primates, plus 375 species of birds, many colorful butterflies, and floral species. After tracking chimpanzees from Kibale, you will be transferred to the lodge for lunch break. In the afternoon, join others on the Bigodi Wetland guided walks.

Day 6: Departure from Kibale for Queen Elizabeth National Park

You have only breakfast to enjoy in the lodge in Kibale and then check out. Next, consider traveling to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Kasese and have en route Kikorongo crossing. Continue from Kikorongo to the Park to check in time at the lodge and lunch will be offered. The afternoon will be best spent on a game drive through the Kasenyi and takes you till evening while you catch up with unique wildlife including big cats, and other mammals.

Day 7: Experience the best game drive and boat cruise

Embark on the Kasenyi game drive tour which is expected to run for 2-3 hours. Return to enjoy breakfast and end the day with a boat cruise excursion exploring the Kazinga channels.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth –Bwindi

At leisure, you have breakfast and after, head towards the southern section. Visit Ishasha for a short game viewing targeting the tree climbing lions and other animals. Continue to Bwindi National Park where you will check in early.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking with a trained ranger guide

Ensure that you have breakfast and leave the lodge for briefing by the official. The actual trekking will begin at around 8:00 am and enjoy the lush forest of Bwindi. You have 1 hour to observe gorillas behave in the rainforest and your driver will transfer you back to the lodge.

Afternoon schedule include transfer to Lake Bunyonyi (this is a scenic lake with about 29 islands) and is the deepest Lake in Uganda. Arrive early to check in time at the resort and have a leisurely time.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi –Lake Mburo

After an early morning breakfast, leave the resort for Lake Bunyonyi for a morning canoe ride. The Bunyonyi canoe ride won’t only take you to the island but also comes with amazing views of the terraced hillside and bird sightings. After exploring Lake Bunyonyi, return to check out and proceed to Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 11: Lake Mburo game safari and boat cruise

 

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and later, proceed with a morning game drive. Lake Mburo National Park guided game safari allows you to look out for abundant animals that reside in the park’s savanna plains. They include lots of impalas, elands, the Burchell’s zebras, the Rothschild giraffes, bushbucks, hyenas, buffaloes, and jackalsAfter the game drive session, you will get back to have lunch and return to explore more of Lake Mburo’s wildlife. The afternoon will mainly focus on the launch cruise, about 2-3 hours, which comes with sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and birds.
